Jaipur

I went to Jaipur last weekend. Thanks to Arjun our plan (for last 6 months) was finally executed.

We stayed at Arjun's Uncle's place - Naila Bagh Palace and it is actually a PALACE. As soon as we entered it our jaws literally dropped. Its HUGE (obviously, right?). Anyways, we were more stunned when we stepped inside the palace. The drawing room had a huge chandelier and those old sofas. We stayed in one of the royal suites. Our room had one of those high ceilings with artwork in it (Check the 2nd photograph) and those long and old fashioned fans. It was a royal treat and an incredible feeling.

The next day we went for shopping. First, we went to this silver jewellery shop and we just went crazy (including the guys!). We just couldn't decide what all to buy..there were so many options..!! Then, we went to Anokhi....hmmm..well...again the same feeling. They had so many options but I had a little problem...FINANCE!!! Since now I am unemployed(sob sob..) I had a tough time. BTW, we didn't even spare Crosswords bookstore. We shopped even there. :D

On the last day, we got to see Vikram Bhaiya's bike. AWESOME!! It was a 600cc and his friends bike were 1100cc and 1300cc...OH MY GOD!! I have never seen those kinda bikes...it was just too good..!!!

The drive back was great as it was raining. And, Arjun literally freaked us out by dancing while he was driving. He got carried away with the song 'Pappu can't dance saala'..;).

Love, Life and all that...

Thanks a lot to all of those who have left a comment in my blog and also to those who have read it. Anyways, after such a formal start I think now I should revert to my normal self...Hey dude..whatz up? Now, that reminds me of my friend Saurabh. (Arjun, I can see that you are smiling).

My friend (Shyam) made a movie (Love, Life and all that) in FOUR days. It was very special for all of us. Straight from work all the actors and not to forget 'light women' would make it a point to reach the venue of shooting well on time, or maybe not. Mind you, all the actors were amateurs. It was great fun to see them put in some 'serious' act. Well, what was I doing....I was one of the light woman. People who know me well will definately agree that I am a horrible actor.

Anyways, the shooting used to go on till 4-5 in the morning. It used to be quite stressfull for a few but the end result was amazing. We never saw our Director 'Shyam Nair' so serious and intense in our life before. Arjun and Tanya (two of the actors) were suprisingly amazing. Special thanks to Anika for agreeing in the last moment to play the lead female role. And, who can forget the delicious dinners made by the Bhaiyas. Oops! I almost forgot to mention about our lead actor Jauy. Well dude, you were just too cool and sizzling.

The premier night was great. We had this total filmy party. Me and Tanya doing the item no.s while others just having a good laugh. Btw, guys were looking damn sexy with their formal atire for the page 3 party and the girls...oo-la-la..!!

The main intention was to write about something else. Something about my makeover plan....But what the heck..!!

For all those people who want to have a look at the movie Love, Life and all that ..., please feel free to contact me.

Nostalgia

I am not a writer. I write when I am frustrated, angry, depressed, etc. I realized I never write when I am happy. hmmm....today I just feel like writing about my childhood. I am kinda nostalgic and missing my home town (Duliajan). :(

So, let me pen down few of my memories.

1. The way I used to wake up early in the morning for Tennis coaching camps and ended up going only 2-3 times because I used to get those asthma attacks. I could never complete the coaching sessions because of the attacks. sob sob...

2. I used to flunk in each and every half-yearly exams of Hindi and Sanskrit and could barely managed to pass in the finals.

3. Blank Calls…aaahh..how can I forget this one? Well, Duliajan is a very small town.. Everybody knows everyone. So, whenever my parents used to go for a party, it was quite obvious that my friends parents will be there too. So I used to give blank calls to my friends…and used to irritate the hell out of them.

4. For years, I didn't know how to ride a bike. Everyone gave up and stopped expecting from me. BUT one fine day, I had one full glass of Glucose C and imitated like in the ad - "Glucose C give me the power". - And I am not kidding I could actually paddle and maintain my balance at the same time. I was so thrilled!! :)

5. Birthdays used to be awesome. On the day of my birthday, I used to wake up early in the morning and sit next to the phone to attend all the birthday wishes calls. I would wait for people to come for the gifts and used to call a lot of people for my birthday bash just for the gifts. hee hee...

6. One day my friend was riding my bike and I was just teasing her. She lost her balance and fell. At first I thought nothing happened to her and she was just acting to scare me. Well, I was wrong...she couldn't get up and broke her ankle. Nobody knew about this (till now). I felt so guilty and it continued for a week or so.

7.We used to have Jam Sessions in the Zaloni club. I would try to look good to get noticed from guys…which rarely happened.

8.I remember the Agra trip with Paresh Mama’s family. During the whole trip me and Bony fought. We used to hate each other. The trip was a disaster for our parents. FYI, me and Bony are really good friends now.

Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.

Humanity Lost

I was scanning through the channels of the television yesterday. Something caught my eye. I saw a boy beaten up by a mob at Ghaziabad. On changing the channel, I saw another news channel covering a story on how one five year old kid and his sister were beaten up by the Chandigarh police for stealing from a Canadian MP. Is this justice? Is this the way you punish them? was it the best thing you could do to let your frustration out? Why didn't media stop them instead of taking pictures and recording the whole scene?

I was quite shaken up by what I saw in the television. Where is humanity in people? Does the feeling of humanity arise just with your family members and friends?

In the above two scenario, one should have:

* called the police (scene 1)
* Tie them up so that they don't run away
* Talk to the them and find out the reason behind their act (Scene 2)
* Register a case against them instead of beating them up.

Beating is not the solution people...!!
There are other ways one can punish them...why do we always resort to this method?

Am I wrong?
